Description: Continuing a tradition of skating excellence since 1971, Niles Park District Iceland offers skating and hockey programs for all ages. Niles Rangers hockey enters a new ice age.Supervised by Director of Hockey Operations, Marty Stankowicz, Rangers hockey is continuing to grow. Our Skating School program is directed by Amy Forbes. We offer classes starting at age 4 through Adults. We also have many freestyle sessions for the more serious skater. IceLand is managed by Marty Stankowicz. Iceland hosts Sweetheart Open an ISI endorsed figure skating competition which is held in the beginning of February. Our annual Ice Show is held in May. This year will be the 40th Annual Ice Show held at Iceland! Notre Dame Hich School and Maine Township Hockey Club both call Iceland their home. This summer Iceland will be offering 3 different summer camp programs. Competitve Blade Adventure Camp will be 3 days per week and is geared toward the Alpha-Freestyle level skater who wants to really make strides in their skating over the summer. We have a number of highly qualifed insturctors who will be teaching the Competitive Blade Adventure Camp. We will be offering the All Star Hockey camp 5 days per week and that will be run by Marty Stankowicz. This is for those skaters who have some hockey experience. Equiptment may be rented for this camp. Then we will also offer our Blade Adventure Camp. This will be a day camp, 5 days per week with a skating aspect to it. All camps will have Wednesday theme days and summer time fun! Please call us for more information at 847-297-8010. Niles Park District truly offers something for everyone. Come join us!
